School Philosophy

We believe that the mission of the Church is to proclaim Christ as the Savior to all nations and to strengthen and encourage one another in the Christian faith.

We believe that all people are born into the world as sinful human beings. God has effected a plan of salvation for all humankind through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ: all who believe in Him as their personal Savior shall have eternal life.

We believe that children think and learn in different ways. Children learn better when they are given opportunities to actively construct their own knowledge through exploration, manipulation and experimentation. The whole child (physically, emotionally, cognitively, socially, aesthetically and spiritually) needs to be addressed in a process of interaction with things and people. Through the implementation of various age-appropriate strategies, we assist children as they move from dependence to greater independence, to grow from concrete to abstract thinking, and to develop a higher reasoning level.

We believe all parents/guardians have the responsibility of bringing Christ, the Savior, to their children. A strong Christian home can best fulfill the mission of the Church by providing a total Christian environment. Children can best learn to live their faith when study of God's Word is part of their daily lives, including their school lives.

We believe that a Christian education can best support, supplement and complement the religious education of the Christian home preparing children for eternity as well as for life in this world. Children are fully prepared when they know God's plan of salvation and see themselves as part of that plan. With such an understanding, they will have the proper incentive to ready themselves to the best of their abilities for active and useful lives of service to God and humankind. A Christian school, where every subject is taught from a Christian viewpoint, can be more successful in leading children to vital Christian lives than any other agency except the Christian home.
